Any time, any day
Take a tied bag out whenever it suits you — morning, midnight, weekend. There's no window to hit and nothing waits outside your door.
For residents
There's no set-out time to remember and nothing you can get in trouble for. If your community is served by Capital Valet, here's everything you need to know.

Whatever trash can you already have inside your apartment is fine. We don't issue one, and we don't have opinions about your bags.
If there's a coloured recycling can beside the trash cans, recycling goes in there loose, not in a bag. Flatten boxes where you can. The sign on the can shows exactly what it takes.
Our promise to you
If you get to the cans and they're all full, that means we didn't put enough room near your home. It is not a rule you broke, and it is never treated as one. Tell us and we'll come empty them — and if it keeps happening, fixing it is our job, not yours.
Questions
On a regular schedule agreed with your community. Your management office can tell you the days, but you don't need to time anything around them — the cans are there all week.
Call or email us directly using the details at the bottom of this page. You don't need to go through the management office first.
It depends on your community's recycling, so the sign on the can is the final word. Usually that means clean, dry cardboard and empty, rinsed containers, put in loose. Plastic bags, greasy pizza boxes and anything still full belong in the trash.
Trash that isn't bagged (recycling is the one thing that goes in loose), furniture and other bulk items, construction debris, hazardous material, paint, batteries and electronics. For anything bulky, your management office can tell you the right route for it.
No. We invoice your community, never residents. If the service appears on your lease as a charge, that's handled entirely by your management office.
Tell us and we'll come back and deal with it. That's a service failure on our side, and we'd genuinely rather hear about it than not.
